Zanger en Presentator
Smit is een van de populairste zangers van Nederland. Buiten zijn eigen land is hij ook succesvol in België, Duitsland, Oostenrijk en Zwitserland. Hij maakt deel uit van De Toppers en van het schlagertrio KLUBBB3. Als presentator is hij vooral bekend van programma’s als de Beste Zangers, Sterren Muziekfeest op het plein, Het Nationaal Songfestival en het Gouden Televizier-Ring Gala.
Sinds 2011 is hij zeer betrokken bij het Eurovisiesongfestival, zo maakt Smit onder andere deel uit van de Nederlandse selectiecommissie en de vakjury. Daarnaast verzorgt hij het Nederlandse commentaar namens de AVROTROS. Tevens is hij sinds 2013 bestuurslid bij voetbalclub FC Volendam.

Şiir Eloğlu  is een Duits-Turkse actrice die woont en werkt in Berlijn en Keulen.
Ze kwam op vierjarige leeftijd vanuit Istanbul naar Keulen. De naam Şiir,
in het Engels “gedicht”, is terug te voeren op haar vader Metin Eloğlu (1927–1985), een schilder en dichter die in de jaren zestig en zeventig grote literaire prijzen ontving. Haar eerste filmervaringen maakte ze in 1991 met de film Happy Birthday, Turk! door Doris Dörrie en speelde in haar eerste plaats delict aan de zijde van
Ulrike Folkerts. Eloğlu werd tussen 1993 en 1996 populair bij een groter publiek
door haar rol als de jonge assistent-arts Dr. Nesrin Ergün bekend in de
RTL-serie Stadtklinik. Van 2014 tot 2015 speelde ze de architect Suna Kaya
in de soap Lindenstrasse des Erste.
