Milano besloot al op driejarige leeftijd, nadat ze verschillende films op de televisie had gezien, dat ze actrice wilde worden. Milano groeide op in haar geboorteplaats New York. Haar carrière ging uiteindelijk van start op achtjarige leeftijd,
toen ze tijdens een open auditie de rol van weeskind June in de Broadway-musical Annie won. Na een looptijd van 18 maanden werd ze vervangen door een
jongere actrice en kreeg ze de rol van Adel in de musical Jane Eyre.
Nadat haar tijd bij die musical voorbij was, verscheen ze in
John O’Keefe’s All Night Long in de Manhattan’s Second Stage Theatre.

Joan Jett, born Joan Marie Larkin, is an American rock singer, guitarist, songwriter, record producer, and actress. She is best known for her work as the frontwoman of her band Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and for founding and performing with the Runaways, who recorded and released the hit song “Cherry Bomb”. With the Blackhearts, Jett is known for her rendition of the song “I Love Rock ’n Roll” which was number-one on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks in 1982. Barbara Eden is an American actress who starred as Jeannie in the sitcom I Dream of Jeannie (1965–1970). Her other roles included Roslyn Pierce opposite Elvis Presley in Flaming Star (1960), Lieutenant jg Cathy Connors in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1961), and a single widowed mother, Stella Johnson, in the film Harper Valley PTA (1978). In Londen ging Katie Melua naar de BRIT School for the Performing Arts & Technology. Deze door de muziekindustrie ondersteunde school staat bekend
als leverancier van beroemde artiesten. In 2003 werd Katie Melua ontdekt tijdens
een showcase door Mike Batt (zelf ook zanger en tekstschrijver,
maar ook arrangeur en producent) die op zoek was naar een zangeres
met aanleg voor jazz en blues. Haar eerste album Call Off The Search werd
in 2003 uitgebracht. Hierop staan twee nummers van haarzelf.
Haar tweede album Piece by Piece kwam uit op 26 september 2005.
