Meskens studeerde aan de Toneelacademie in Maastricht. Ze werd bij het grote publiek bekend dankzij haar rol in de televisieserie Kaat & co, die vijf seizoenen liep op één. Ze was ook te zien als omroepster in het humoristische programma Als ’t maar beweegt met Stany Crets en Peter Van Den Begin. Verder speelde ze gastrollen in Kinderen van Dewindt en De Co-assistent en ze had een rol in de films Blinker en Blinker en het Bagbag-juweel. Tijdens de Story Awards 2012 mocht Meskens drie prijzen in ontvangst nemen: eentje voor “Favoriete actrice”, een tweede voor “Vrouw van het jaar” en een derde voor de reeks Danni Lowinski, die de prijs “Beste Televisiereeks” ontving. Meskens en haar toenmalige echtgenoot Jeroen Van Dyck openden in 2012 een Thais restaurant in Antwerpen. She later auditioned for Smith’s Mallrats and was offered the role of Kim in Chasing Amy, but was not comfortable with kissing another girl on film. She moved to Sayreville, New Jersey where she attended middle school and graduated from Sayreville War Memorial High School in 1979. After high school, she earned her beautician license to do make-up and hair professionally. She worked at hair salons and later entered acting. Both of her parents are from Puerto Rico. She performed in community theater in the New Jersey area. Since moving to Los Angeles in 1998, aside from her acting work, Ghigliotti works as a make-up artist in the TV/film industry as well as side work as a wedding stylist.

Ze speelde de rol van Sophie, een serveerster, in de film Return to Me die werd geregisseerd door en ook speelde met Bonnie Hunt en later verscheen als een reguliere serie in Bonnie’s comedyserie Life with Bonnie as “Gloria”, de huishoudster, voor twee seizoenen tot de show eindigde. Ze verscheen ook in The WB tv-serie Charmed aflevering ” Primrose Empath “. Ze heeft ook een terugkerende rol in de soap Passions , waarin ze het gestoorde personage van Norma Bates speelt . Ze speelde ook de oppas op Melrose Place en een no-nonsense moeder die een Halloween-feest organiseerde op Highway to Heaven en ze speelde een gastrol in een aflevering van Will and Grace , in een aflevering van Anger Management en in een aflevering van How I Met Your Mother.
